Important Information On Equifax Data Breach
On September 7th Equifax, one of the three major credit reporting agencies, announced that hackers had accessed company data and that the personal information of approximately 143 million American consumers was compromised. The hackers accessed people’s names, social security numbers, birthdates, addresses and in some instances driver’s license numbers, etc.
As with any data breach, it’s important to know what to do. The following link to the Federal Trade Commission page contains additional information on the Equifax breach and gives important steps to find out if your information has been compromised and ways you can protect yourself.
